The Collection contains photographs and other images from the towns and rural areas that today make up the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford. The Collection encompasses a wide range of media, including digital images, printed photographs, historic prints and etchings, as well as photographs on glass slides. Subjects include the industrial estates of Trafford Park and Broadheath, construction of the Manchester Ship Canal, leisure activities, health, local buildings and architecture, civic events, war time activities, and depictions of local residents.
