Found in Sale/Timperley. A selection of handmade and impressed clay marbles ( date unknown but could be 17th to 19th century); Tooled stone marbles; Small pottery pieces. These are possibly gaming pieces from the ancient game of 'Fox and Geese' or 'Two Foxes and Geese' (12th - 14th century); Glass marble, 1950-1960. It has been suggested that some of the smaller clay objects are, in fact, homemade birdshot for guns but this is uncertain
