Photographs include the following people who attended the ceremony: Mayor of Trafford Councillor Chris Boyes and Mayoress Pam Boyes;  dignitaries, retired and serving firefighters; representatives of Sale and Ashton upon Mersey fire brigade; family members of John Johnson Hunt; Tony Ciaramella (ex firefighter responsible for red plaque application) and other local residents. 
Speakers of the ceremony included: Sharon Johnson (Head of commercial for Bruntwood Works); Morris Hunt (JJH relative who gave eulogy); Edward Burrows (FBU regional secretary for North West) and Michael J Riley (Trustee of Sale Civic Society) who gave the red plaque a religious blessing.
