Colour photograph (one of the four photographs that are on the same mounting) of the cutting down of Jubilee Tree; view towards Church Road. Typed note on the front of the mounting card: 'These four photos by Bill Newton of Trafford Libraries were taken within minutes of the Jubilee Tree at Flixton village being cut down (8.50 am) on Wednesday the 28th of January 1987. Photos on the left are views towards Church Rd., and the photos on the right are views towards Carrington Rd., and Bents Avenue. The man picking up the shoulder bag is Bob Potts of Chorlton cum Hardy.'
