Shawe Hall

1955
Archives
Shawe Hall was thought to have been built by the Valentine family who were one of the earliest landowners in Flixton. The hall was originally surrounded by a moat and the National Census refers to it being used as a boarding school during the 1800s. It was demolished in 1955. The area around the hall close to the Roebuck Hotel was known as Shaw Town.
