This is one of a series of photographs taken by the Clerk of Works between June and December 1901, during the construction of the Machine Shop and Office Building by looking at this photograph and TL7806; TL7810; TL7813; and TL7814 you will be able to see yourself how fast some of the estimated 4,000 workers could work in just 6 months. Stewart managed to complete the whole project within a year.
