In the background School Road, site now occupied by Boots Chemist. Extreme left Phoenix Press, just about where the van is on right hand side used to be a telephone kiosk and seats by the Wesleyan Chapel where people could sit and watch the world go by. In this vicinity a man used to stand who printed and gave away his own newspaper. This spot was also a meeting place for the young people on a Saturday.
