This is a view looking down Old Hall road towards Rifle Road. The area is now part of Junction 6 of the M60 motorway. On the right of the photograph is the Lodge house and entrance to Sale Lodge. Sale Lodge was built by Edmund Howarth in the 1830s. Sale Lodge itself still exists as the club house for Sale Golf club.
