George Aldcroft died before 1595 and in that year and in 1597 his son James and his widow Jane granted life leases to William Parker and his wife of certain properties they occupied; One lease was of a field called "Eighteen pennyworth"in the Town Field. James Aldcroft and his mother also leased one third of their estate to Oliver Heywood (who was the vendor in 1588 of the whole of the land to the father of James). In 1588 James Aldcroft and his mother sold the estate to Thomas Lingarte a carrier. In 1600 Ellis Aldcroft (authorized by James) and Jane Aldcroft sold to Thomas Lingarte the reversion of the Cottage leased to Oliver Heywood and the barn to William Parker. In 1618 James Aldcroft late of Altrincham confirmed the title of Robert Lingarte, son of Thomas Lingarte the original purchaser who had lately died.
