The Stretford Children's Theatre scheme was one of many that were started just after the war: all the actors had to live in Stretford and they had to be under eighteen years old. The first producer was Mr. B.H. Holland, a master at the Old Trafford Senior Boy's School. Includes Photographs of Phyllis Neilson Terry greeted at London Road Station by Miss Bagley and Mrs Braithwaite from Stretford Children's Theatre when she arrived to see their production of the "Scarlet Pimpernel". The theatre later became Stretford Youth Theatre
