[c.1936]
Archives
Trafford Public Hall floodlit, possibly for the coronation of George VI. The Trafford Public Hall, on Talbot Road, was built in 1887 and extended in 1908. Before the incorporation of Stretford Borough Council in 1933, it was the offices of the Urban District Council. After the building of the new Town Hall on Chester Road, it was used, among other things, as public assembly rooms which could accommodate various functions. It is now the Trafford Hall Hotel.
