Patrick, otherwise known as Peter, Nolan was the licensee of The Grapes, Regent Road, Altrincham. On the 1911 census he was living at 21 New Street, Altrincham. He was fifty-eight years old and working as a fitter's labourer at the Linotype works in Broadheath. He was born in Ballyhaunis, County Mayor. His wife Catherine, aged forty-nine, was born in Sale and their son Austin, aged seven, was born in Altrincham.
