Typed in purple ink on headed paper Letter from Slater Heelis to The Secretary of Henshaw's Institution for the Blind regarding the use of a Henshaws coat of arms. The letter states that as no-one has proved a link between Thomas Henshaw and two different Henshaw families with rights to armorial bearings then neither they nor the Blue Coat school at Oldham are entitled to use these coats of arms. Letter contains a copy of the coat of arms in question.
