Postcard showing a tram car in Stamford New Road in Altrincham in the early 20th century. Electric tram services from Manchester and Stretford reached Sale by 1906, and Altrincham by the following year. The tram car has a sign for Deansgate and number 224 on the front. Some shop signs seen on both side of the street, including Parker's and Dunbabin's Cash Drapers.
