Postcard including two images of Manchester Corporation transport buses at Altringham. The image on top shows an old-fashioned tram bus, with a text 40 years ago. The bottom image shows a more modern bus, c. in the 1960s. Both buses display the number 48. The description at the back says: Changing times and changing fashions, but more it changes the more it stays the same: the tram service was replaced by the motor bus, but the route numbers remained the same.
