This is one of a series of photographs taken by the Clerk of Works between June and December 1901, they clearly show the fast rate of building in just 6 months. Work on building the distinctive Office Building that stood in front of the Machine Shop has been almost completed since the previous photograph (TL7813) taken in September. In the fore-ground you can see marker posts bearing the names of the streets that were eventually built to house workers from the factories on Trafford Park.
